Life in the Shadows
In the natural world, there are forms of life that cannot be fully captured by light alone.
Loneliness, tension, stillness, strength.
And the joy of living while embracing it all.

I have used the deep black of the leather to represent “shadows,”
and the light of the rhinestones scattered throughout to represent “the radiance of life.”
I carefully layer each piece of leather—cut into different shapes—one by one,
adorned with tiny rhinestones,
taking my time to craft each piece with meticulous care.
It is precisely because there is darkness that light appears so bright.
Through these solitary animals,
this piece expresses the beauty of life amidst nature’s harshness
and the quiet “joy of living.”
