Steam That Becomes a Star

The steam rising from the cup on the coffee shop’s sign swirls in the night sky, forming the Milky Way. As a tribute to Van Gogh’s *Café Terrace at Night* and *Starry Night*, I depicted the shop’s lights and the starry sky as a single, flowing scene. On the back cover, under the same night sky, steam rising from the town’s chimneys also forms a swirl of stars. From the front cover to the back, the coffee shop’s night continues.
Production Method: Digital illustration. All shapes and brush textures were drawn one stroke at a time using software. The artist personally selected the composition and made the final adjustments.
