Porthole

An image of gazing at space through a spaceship’s window or porthole.
When people think of “space,” it feels very scientific—even somewhat impersonal—but once you learn the stories behind the constellations, it feels much closer to home. Hearing that there’s a rabbit pounding rice cakes on the moon somehow makes me feel excited, thinking that interstellar contact might not be such a far-fetched dream after all.
The front cover depicts the surface of a planet we’ve landed on. For the back cover, I drew a view that looks as if we’re peering at Jupiter, my favorite planet.
