Journey

Since the theme is space, I filled this book with the kinds of encounters I’d hope to have if I ever went to space. On the front cover, I imagined meeting a little girl dressed as a rabbit when I landed on the moon—and then I’d like to give her flowers,
and tell her about the planet I live on. On the back cover, I expressed my wish to walk barefoot with her through the ocean on the planet where I live. For the front cover, I used acrylic gouache to clearly depict the sparkling universe, and for the back cover, I used transparent watercolors to create a soft, blurred effect representing the ocean. I used the same technique for both. I hope the unique qualities of each medium come through. Thank you for your consideration.
