I often see Shiba Inus stopping in their tracks while out for a walk in videos, so I drew a scene depicting Momotaro and his companions on their way to Oni-ga-shima.
Since it’s a long journey to Oni-ga-shima, I imagined that the dog, tired from walking, would ask to be carried, and that the pheasant and the monkey would follow suit and ask Momotaro to carry them too—so that’s what I drew.
