Cozy Disaster

　“Cosy catastrophe” is a term used in science fiction literature that means “comfortable doomsday.”
“Comfortable doomsday” refers to a worldview in which the protagonists are in a safe place and view the world’s destruction with optimism—a theme found in much science fiction literature.
　This series of works was created with the intention of crafting a landscape where such “grotesque and pessimistic” elements coexist with “pop and optimistic” ones.
　In today’s world, where a vast amount of information circulates, pop culture and serious topics such as war, politics, and environmental issues are discussed on the same level. This series of works is a landscape created by seeking points of connection with the worldview of people living in such an era.
