I applied vibrant green and blue water-soluble paints in three layers to create a gradient, then applied gofun (white pigment) in three layers, allowing each layer to dry. Afterward, I crumpled the washi paper to intentionally create wrinkles—a traditional Japanese painting technique known as “momi-gami”—and mounted the paper onto a panel to paint the crocuses.
I hope you enjoy the atmosphere created by these crocuses, which bloom with dignity and purity during the cold season.
