I painted the nanten, a traditional Japanese symbol of good fortune.
Based on the pun “turning misfortune into good fortune,” the nanten is considered an auspicious tree that wards off misfortune and evil spirits. I used “suminagashi,” a traditional Japanese painting technique, to create the background.
I hope you can sense both its coolness and its sense of good fortune.
