Once upon a time, long, long ago, living things
drew their energy from the earth.
One day, when the creatures that crawled on the ground
followed the water and ventured above ground,
they realized that there was such a thing as the sky,
and that there were times when warm light shone down brilliantly
and times when soft light illuminated the darkness.
