An Interesting Detour (Momo-hiki!)

I personally love the part of a bird’s body known as the “thighs,” and as I was thinking about how to draw them in an appealing way, I came up with the idea of having the bird stand on tiptoes. There’s a soba restaurant near my house with a window where you can watch them make soba, so I thought, “Why not have the birds peek through a window like this on their way home from school?” That’s the inspiration behind this illustration. *Note: I’ll be submitting a different illustration to the design contest (it’s of a café run by a kakapo as the manager (*^_^*))*
