I believe that wearing something means making a choice.
It’s not just about the material or design, but about what kind of moments you bring close to your skin. CLARTE BRASS was born from that sensibility.
Brass is a very honest material. The more you use it, the more it tarnishes and gets scratched, quietly absorbing the owner’s quirks and habits.
We don’t see these as flaws; rather, we call them “traces.”
They are small yet tangible records of the time a person has spent with an object.
The “Mamorī” series was born from this philosophy.
Featuring a horseshoe motif, the collection includes bangles, earrings, chokers, and more.
While this shape is known as a symbol of good luck, it wasn’t just the auspicious connotations that drew me to it.
I wanted to bring into everyday life the quiet power of “protection” that resides in this shape—a power rooted in the long history of humans and horses walking side by side.
It doesn’t need to shine too brightly. It doesn’t need to make a bold statement.
It simply takes root quietly in the wearer’s life.
That is the kind of piece I want to create.
CLARTE BRASS aims to create not just accessories meant for display, but pieces that quietly blend into daily life and, over time, take on the wearer’s unique character.
The “Guardian” series, too, becomes more beautiful a year after you first hold it than it was on the day you first picked it up.
Holding onto that belief, I continue to create today.
