□Genpo Yōka ← Pronounced “Genpo Yōka.” “Genpo” refers to the abode of immortals or the Celestial Emperor, while “Yōka” means “flowers as beautiful as jade.”
There is a famous painting of the same name, and this piece is my modern interpretation of it.
I’ve always imagined immortals as having bushy beards or hair—in other words, who is the hairiest character in this painting…? (Immortals don’t always take human form, you know.) I was given a glimpse into the beautiful bedchamber of such an immortal.
