Although there are no people in this painting, I created it with the image of a celebratory scene in mind.
On the balcony, there are two glasses of wine and a light meal set out. Against the blue sky, it almost seems as if the birds are joining in the celebration.
As if none of that mattered, a cat is relaxing inside the room, and its presence adds to the peaceful atmosphere of the moment.
Instead of including people, I thought about how I could express the sense of celebration through the painting itself.
