Itohana is a tatting lace accessory that has been a staple of toitohari’s collection for about five years.
I carefully knot the fine thread one stitch at a time, striving for a design that, while featuring floral motifs, avoids being too sweet—a simple style that complements sophisticated, adult fashion.
The pieces aren’t finished once they’re completed; with each new creation, I reevaluate their shape and balance, nurturing them bit by bit. It’s a series that holds a special place in my heart, having grown alongside me.
