Red Plum Blossoms
Red plum blossoms bloom before any other flower, heralding the arrival of spring. The sense of relief and warmth one feels upon spotting these blossoms amid the lingering chill of winter is a time-honored and enduring emotion for the Japanese people, and the red plum holds great significance for all living things and plants as well.
