I painted a scene from the world of *The Little Mermaid* using blue ink to capture the various colors found at the bottom of the deep sea and near the water’s surface. I hope I’ve succeeded in conveying her feelings—her longing for the outside world and her love for the prince she fell for at first sight—as well as the tragic ending where she vanishes into the sea foam.
