Drawing inspiration from Katsushika Hokusai’s *The Diver and the Octopus* and Botticelli’s *The Birth of Venus*,
and combined them.
In creating this shunga, I viewed bliss and spring as symbols of abundance and, with a brush dipped in soot-laden ink that vanishes when blown, depicted something emerging from nothing—a prayer for a new world.
