drip 6th Performance 「HoneyBEE」
A group of artists who love to draw. A live painting unit formed by four artists known for their detailed pen drawings. The group is known for its “Byōen” (Painting Performance), a performance style in which the four artists—each with their own unique style—simultaneously wield their pens to create massive wall art entirely by improvisation, without any preliminary sketches. The creative process, in which four contrasting personalities clash on a single canvas and eventually fuse together, draws viewers into an overwhelming world of art.
Kamihiro Matsumura
An artist synonymous with “déformation” (distortion). He skillfully employs omission and emphasis to depict his subjects in a humorous and dynamic manner. His unique creative theory, which forms the foundation of his bande dessinée work, has influenced many artists.
Hiroaki Murayama
An artist who embodies realism. Drawing on meticulous observation, he uses just a single pen to depict plants and animals with a level of realism that surpasses even photography. His overwhelming attention to detail lends his works a profound sense of conviction.
Shigo
An artist who symbolizes the “imaginary” (the non-existent). With his unparalleled artistic skill, he depicts fantastical motifs as if they were real. His unique worldview draws viewers into unknown stories.
Kenmeism
An artist who embodies “pop & chaos.” He condenses intense energy and a chaotic flood of information into a single canvas. He has an unconventional career path, having transitioned from elementary school teacher to artist.
