“marb.”, an accessory brand created by a former apparel patternmaker The concept is “Wearable Art” Despite their large size, they’re unbelievably light— just wearing them feels like you’re wearing a work of art. Drawing inspiration from architecture and three-dimensional structures, the designer uses her expertise as a patternmaker to transform soft materials like ribbons from flat surfaces and lines into three-dimensional forms. Designer: Saki Kawahira Graduated from the Faculty of Home Economics at Kobe Women’s University and the Fashion Engineering program at ESMOD Japan, Osaka Campus ・After working as a patternmaker, she began working as a freelancer. ・Under the name “ito-lier,” she produces and sells the accessory brand “marb.” and the vintage clothing remake brand “Modifi,” creates custom-made items (primarily children’s clothing), offers alteration services, and works as a freelance patternmaker ・Currently focuses on the production and sales of the accessory brand “marb.”, primarily at fashion buildings and department stores nationwide, as well as at major events and overseas (Taiwan, South Korea). [Past Retail Locations] Hiroshima PARCO, Fukuya, Hiroshima Mitsukoshi, LECT, Shibuya Hikarie, LUCUA 1100, OIOI (Yurakucho, Shinjuku, Kobe, Hakata, etc.), Tsutaya Bookstore, etc...
