I work at a chusen dyeing factory in Hamamatsu, where we mainly dye tenugui and yukata. While I usually work as a craftsman dyeing items ordered by customers, I wanted to try creating my own original tenugui, so I started doing that a few years ago. “Tenugui” aren’t essential items in modern life. However, once you start using them, you’ll find them incredibly convenient. I create my designs based on the concept that while tenugui don’t have to be strictly functional, they can still be fun and interesting.

BIOGRAPHY
