村上浩子
Illustrator/Artist Born in 1961 in Hyogo Prefecture; currently resides in Kyoto. After graduating from an art junior college, she explored the style of art she wanted to create. In 1995, she discovered her artistic voice through her encounter with original picture books and began her career as an artist. Alongside her artistic work, she runs a “Picture Book Class” and instructing, which produced many picture book authors. In 2023, due to health issues, and closed the “Picture Book Classroom,” suspending her artistic activities. In 2024, her health recovered, and she resumed her work as a painter/artist. In 2025, she published three books in the “Merci Nyan” picture book series, as well as *Jellyfish* and *The Story of the Twelve Zodiac Animals and the Cat*.
