Perfumer Minako Yonemitsu I became captivated by fragrance after encountering a single scent created by a Japanese perfumer. Although I used to dislike scents, as I studied perfumery, I came to appreciate the infinite possibilities that scents offer and the comfort I feel from natural fragrances. She embarked on the path of perfumery with neither technical skills nor prior knowledge. She is currently working to help others appreciate the beauty of natural fragrances and to convey the wonders of Japan through scent. She also regularly hosts workshops, such as fragrance appreciation sessions. In 2023, I launched H.A.G.O.ROMO LAB. Fragrance and began creating and selling fragrances made with natural ingredients at my perfumery studio in Hokkaido. In September 2025, I released two varieties of “Fermented Awa-hi®️,” incense made from 100% natural ingredients. 2023–2024: Submitted works to the annual international perfume competition held in Barcelona, Spain: INTERNATIONAL PERFUMERY COMPETITION “MOUILLETTE D’ARGENT” 2024/2025: Selected as a finalist for the Emerging Perfumer Award at the Asia Perfume Awards held in Hong Kong. 2024: Dedicated the fragrance “Amatsutsushi” at Nishihama Shrine, part of the Izanagi Shrine on Awaji Island 2024: H.A.G.O.ROMO LAB.®︎ trademark registered
