We are “Horai no Ie,” a Type B Continuous Employment Support facility located in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture, surrounded by the natural beauty of Lake Biwa and the Hira Mountains. We engage in daily crafting while valuing what each individual “can do” and “enjoys doing.” At Horai no Ie, a variety of artwork—such as paintings and embroidery created as part of our daily lives—is constantly being produced. Each piece reflects the individuality of its creator and the time and effort invested in it. We create these works with the hope that they will bring joy to those who purchase or wear them. We would be delighted if the everyday life at Horai no Ie could add a touch of color to someone else’s daily life.
