It’s written as “nomadicat” and pronounced “Nomadicat.” While painting, I’ve lived a life of wandering the world like a cat. I transfer patterns painted with acrylics, as well as images of plants and other subjects, onto textiles. From creating the original artwork and digital files to designing and sewing, I carefully craft each piece one by one. Since my abstract paintings don’t have titles, I name them after the cities I’ve actually visited on my travels. Names that capture the colors, landscapes, and overall atmosphere— as I dig deep into my travel memories. Perhaps I’m unconsciously reflecting in my paintings scenes I’ve seen somewhere, inspired by those landscapes. I hope that when you hold one of my pieces in your hands, it will bring you even a little excitement and make your heart leap with joy.
