Sending Stars

While on a business trip to the mountains of Hyogo, I saw a truly beautiful starry sky.
It reminded me of the countryside skies I used to see when I was a child.

I often feel as though plants are twinkling like stars.
A scene suddenly came to mind: plants rising into the sky through the water’s surface.
Sinking into a blue spring amid the dense trees, they are sent up into the sky as stars.

I titled this piece “Sending Stars” as a scene from such a simple, whimsical mental image.
