These earrings feature a motif made of thread that’s curled into a hoop shape.
We designed them so that a post is attached to one end of the long, slender motif and a clasp to the other, creating a hoop-like shape when worn.
The thread motifs are crafted using the traditional South American Paraguayan embroidery technique
known as “Nyanduti.”
Since the thread is starched, the pieces look delicate but
are actually quite crisp and retain their shape well, making them suitable for everyday wear.
Nyanduti accessories allow you to appreciate the texture and delicacy of the thread, its vibrant colors, and the diverse patterns woven by the threads.
Using gray thread as a base, blue thread is woven in to create floral and chain patterns.
By bending the strip-shaped Nyanduti motif to create a three-dimensional shape, the delicacy of the thread is further accentuated in this accessory.
This piece was featured in a special section on a handmade e-commerce site and has been purchased by many customers, including those who chose different color variations.
