Maybe rabbits are actually aliens,
and they’re watching their friends who traveled from the moon to Earth.
As I was thinking about that,
I found myself humming the children’s song “Furusato.”
The lyrics to “Furusato” are written somewhere on both the first and second pages.
Materials: Acrylic, pigments, chiyogami, washi paper, crayons
□ Hometown □
That mountain where I used to chase rabbits
That river where I used to fish for minnows
My dreams still circle there
My unforgettable hometown
How are you, Mother and Father?
Are my friends well and safe?
Through rain and wind,
I remember my hometown.
Once I’ve fulfilled my aspirations,
Someday, I shall return.
My hometown, where the mountains are blue,
My hometown, where the waters are clear.
