Centered on “Ra,” the god from Egyptian mythology who changes throughout the day and continues his journey,
I’ve depicted the deities associated with Ra.
Ra’s midnight form, “Khnum”; his morning form, “Khepri”; and his evening form, “Atum”;
as well as Ra’s children: “Bastet,” “Horus,” and “Sekhmet.”
I created this artwork to explore the connections among the Egyptian gods—connections that are surprisingly little known.
