Takase Shell: Rings carved from the underside of the Sarasabateira shell. This shell has been used for shirt buttons since the Meiji era. Because it emits a brilliant glow when polished, it is cherished in Okinawa as a talisman against evil spirits. Our store uses shells sourced from Ishigaki Island.
