Sprouts appear

To create a sense of depth,
I used washi paper and sumi ink.

Since deer are sometimes said to be messengers of the gods,
they are creatures whose population size is considered crucial
for maintaining the mountain ecosystem.

While buffeted by the tides of time,
this deer gazes toward something that will grow in the future—
a sprout of hope is emerging.

Ink has the effect of purifying the air,
and washi—a traditional Japanese craft—is environmentally friendly, absorbing moisture when indoor humidity is high and releasing it when it is low.
