As an artist, I focus primarily on commissioned artwork based on the concept of creating art for just one person.
I create animal paintings that transcend the boundaries of abstraction and figurative art—something I’ve always wanted to do.
My model is Nanako, a rescue cat belonging to a friend who’s a hairdresser. I hear her name comes from the fact that she was rescued from Building 7 of the apartment complex.
The artwork is a single piece, including the frame.
The wooden frame expresses Nanako the cat’s worldview through abstract art.
A frame is, by nature, something that encloses.
What encloses, what is enclosed—transcending these boundaries.
